Janet I. Lebamoff  (JIL) was raised in a large family that loved church and sports. At an age all too young, Janet was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. Her response was, “I have a family to raise and baseball games to attend!” As she began her 50 month fight against breast cancer, she faithfully worked with her husband and family to balance “cancer life” with “normal life.” The family grew painfully aware of how cancer invades a daily routine and what impact it had on her two children participating in youth sports. In her honor, the Jil Youth Sports Foundation was born in order to keep kids in the game of sports, allowing families to experience the same joy that Janet had for youth sports.
